Our Story
A short Story about our Origin...
The history of this project can be divided into 3 main phases:
Old team (yawww P2P NFT marketplace, Decall's option platform and Decall's "Degen Mode", now Rebranding as Sharp Trade)
At the beginning of 2022, the old team launched the Yawww P2P trading marketplace for NFTs. After some success, the team expanded and developed a conventional marketplace to compete with Magic Eden, Hadeswap and Hyperspace. The highlight (some may say lowlight): NFT royalties were optional! After a lot of negative resonance from the Solana community, the platform was initially able to capture a large market share. In the course of this development, Magic Eden and its competitors followed suit and also made NFT royalties optional, which in turn led to a decline in the yawww platform's market share.
The team did not give up and developed a new type of NFT option platform from the end of 2022 and launched the NFT collection "Future Traders", which still is a part of Sharp Trade today. However, the NFT option platform suffered from low volume, which can be blamed on the over-engineered UI of the platform as well as the general bear market.
The old team had one last ace up its sleeve and developed "DegenMode", the first iteration of the platform we know and love today. However, this was flawed, which meant that the housewallet could be drained through clever betting. This and the ongoing bear market put the nail in the coffin and the old team stopped developing the platform.
New team (Decall's further development, rebranding as Sharp Trade)
Enthusiasts who recognized the potential of "DegenMode" and owned some of the "Future Trader" NFTs could not and would not accept this end of the project. Under new team leadership, the old bugs in the code were fixed and a campaign to revitalize the project was launched. These changes were far-reaching and concerned the UI/UX of the platform, implementation of new tokens, new reward systems and much more! To date, a volume of 17.000 Solana has been achieved under the new leadership. With the latest rebranding to Sharp Trade and the revival of the Option Platform the project is facing an exciting future.
